VISA REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER THE KINDGDOM OF LESOTHO

Do I need a visa to enter the Kingdom of Lesotho if I am a national of a SADC Member State?

Only nationals of Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar and Seychelles need a visa to enter the Kingdom.

Visa requirements:

Diplomatic and Official visa

Valid passport
Visa application form duly completed
Two (2) passport type photographs
Invitation letter
Note verbale
Copy of return air ticket or itinerary
Visa issued without fee (gratis) for holders of diplomatic and official/service passports

Business visa

Passport with validity of at least six (6) months from date of submission of application
Visa application form duly completed in duplicate
Two (2) passport size photographs
Copy of return air ticket
Invitation letter
Details of contact person or entity in Lesotho
Proof of accommodation

Multiple Entry: M2000 - only issued in Lesotho

Tourist visa:

Passport with validity of at least six (6) months from date of submission of application
Visa application form duly completed in duplicate
Two (2) passport size photographs
Copy of return ticket
Details of contact person or entity in Lesotho
Proof of accommodation
Proof of sufficient funds to sustain living during period of sojourn

Multiple Entry: M2000 - only issued in Lesotho

NB:

Submission of visa applications is between 09:00 and 12:00 while collection thereof is between 14:00 and 15:30.
Processing time for applications is three (3) business days.
More supporting documents may be required if needs be.
Visa issuance does not necessarily guarantee entry into Lesotho as it this may be determined by the discretion of immigration officers at a port of entry.
An international vaccination certificate is required for applicants who come from countries where yellow fever and cholera are endemic.

Countries that do not require Visas to enter the Kingdom of Lesotho are Commonwealth Member Countries

APPLICATION FOR A NEW PASSPORT

Two (2) passport size photographs

EMERGENCY TRAVEL DOCUMENT

Emergency Travel Documents are issued in lieu of lost passport.

POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE

In order for one to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate in Lesotho the individual has to be fingerprinted on official finger form at a Police Station in the domicile country. The fingerprint forms should be

This form should be accompanied by a copy of a valid passport. A service charge of thirty Maloti (M30.00) should be paid and the mail should be registered.
